Benefits of being registered for our priority support services
We know that some people need a little extra help, especially in electrical emergencies and power disruptions, which is why we offer priority support services to those who need them.
By registering to receive priority services, you’ll get extra support during a power disruption if you need it. If you are elderly, very ill, disabled or rely on power for medical equipment, you can sign up for our Priority Service Register.

Our commitment to providing priority support services
We work closely with partners such as the British Red Cross, who can provide emergency support to people without power. While we very rarely need to use it, this support can be essential during an electrical emergency.
We also work with the fire service, who offer an Online Home Safety Check that takes you through each room of your home to help you identify any potential fire risks and take steps to reduce them. Complete the online check to receive a personalised fire safety plan to protect you and your household.
We are committed to helping those customers who need it most by making the sign-up process for our priority support services easier. We also want to make it easier for our priority customers to get help from other utilities, such as energy suppliers and water companies. As a result, we may share your personal information with energy and utility companies, such as gas and water companies, so you can also benefit from their support.
For further information regarding how National Grid Electricity Distribution will process and safeguard the personal information of customers who are members of National Grid Electricity Distribution's Priority Services Register (the "PSR"), please see the PSR Privacy Policy.
