Support for energy bills
We know that energy bills are on the rise. So we have worked with key industry partners to provide information about the support that is available.
Priority services register
Our Priority Services Register provides vital support for vulnerable people during a power cut. You can register with your supplier or contact us. If you’re eligible, you’ll receive extra information, advice and support during a power cut.
Winter fuel payment
If you were born before 22 September 1959 you could get between £100 and £300 to help you pay your heating bills for winter 2025-2026.
Cold weather payment
Some households may be eligible for extra payments if they’ve experienced periods of exceptionally cold weather. To be eligible, you must receive certain benefits, pension credit or receive support for mortgage interest.
Warm home discount
£150 may be available off your electricity bill for winter 2025 - 2026 under the Warm Home Discount Scheme. The money is not paid directly - it is a one-off discount on your bill. Contact your supplier for more information on whether this is available.
