Network Projects

On this page, you can view current and upcoming projects taking place across our network.

Select your region on the left to see the projects happening in your area.

Your neighbourhood is our home too

When we carry out work on our network, we want the people and communities affected to be part of the conversation. That means sharing our plans early, listening to your feedback, and taking your local knowledge into account before we make decisions.

Our network projects range from solar farm connections and overhead line works, to wider network upgrades and reinforcements that support the shift to cleaner energy. Each project page sets out what we are planning, why we are doing it, and how you can have your say.

How it works

No two projects are the same. The type of work, the planning process involved, and the way we engage with communities will vary from project to project.

Some projects require formal planning consent, such as a Section 37 application under the Electricity Act 1989, which sets out specific requirements for how objections and representations can be made and by when. Others do not follow a formal planning process but may still involve public exhibitions, information events or other ways for you to share your views.

Each project page sets out what applies in that case, including any consultation timelines, how to submit feedback, and who to contact if you have questions. Where a formal process is in place, the relevant deadlines and submission details will be clearly shown.

Whatever the process, we read and consider every response we receive. Where we run a consultation, we publish a report once it has closed.
