Join the BIG conversation on the future of your local electricity network
We’re bringing together organisations and voices from across the region to take part in a series of Regional Round Tables that will genuinely shape the future of our energy network.
These sessions are designed to ensure regional and local perspectives directly inform how, where and why we invest – our aim is to build a network with our customers, for our customers.
During the event, we’ll explore the key challenges and choices that will shape the next phase of the energy transition, including:
- How future network investment will support regional growth and local priorities In order to enable new housing, transport electrification, industry, jobs and skills.
- How we balance affordability, resilience and sustainability: Discussing how we invest ahead of need and prepare the network for increasing demand.
- The role of smarter networks, flexibility and innovation: Exploring how smart technologies, local energy and flexibility markets can reduce costs and make better use of existing infrastructure.
- What good customer experience looks like in a changing energy system: Covering connections, reliability, resilience during disruptions, and how we support customers with different needs — including vulnerable customers.
- How we plan for long term resilience and climate impacts
These sessions will be interactive and discussion led, with facilitated conversations and live voting to capture views on the trade offs and priorities that matter most in your region.
We know your time is precious, which is why these round tables are structured to be focused, practical and influential. By taking part, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Help shape the priorities and outcomes that will underpin future investment in your local electricity network
- Share place based insight on growth, resilience and the transition to clean energy
- Influence how network investment can better support communities, the local environment, and regional economies
