On the future of your local electricity network

The BIG Conversation: From Insight into Action

Your last chance to shape our ED3 Business Plan

Join us this September for The BIG Conversation – our final stakeholder engagement events before we submit our Business Plan for ED3, the next electricity distribution price control covering 2028-33. This is the last opportunity to influence a multi-billion-pound investment plan that will shape how your region’s electricity network operates for the next five years.

Our Executive Leadership Team will set out the key challenges, opportunities and decisions facing the network – and how it can support economic growth, enable the transition to cleaner energy, strengthen resilience to climate change and continue to deliver value-for-money for customers and communities.

Why this matters

Over the past year, we have worked closely with customers and stakeholders to understand priorities, and shape the strategies and commitments that will underpin our ED3 Business Plan. Your insight has been instrumental in shaping our thinking – now we want to test whether we’ve got it right.

At these events, we will present our proposed business plan strategies and commitments, seeking your views before our Business Plan is submitted in December. This is your opportunity to help ensure our proposals reflect the needs and priorities of the regions and communities we serve.

We will be seeking your views on whether our proposed strategies and business plan commitments will:

Deliver a fair and equitable energy transition that reflects the needs of different customers, communities and local places.

Enable economic growth through faster connections, greater network capacity and support for local decarbonisation.

Unlock better value for customers through innovation, flexibility and smarter network operation.

  • Build a more resilient and reliable network that is prepared for increasing climate and weather-related risks.
  • Reduce our environmental impact while supporting more sustainable outcomes across our regions.
  • Deliver simpler, more accessible and inclusive services, particularly for customers in vulnerable circumstances.
  • Provide clear, ambitious and accountable commitments that demonstrate value for money for customers.

How to get involved

You can join us in person or online at the two events where we will be discussing our proposals across our four licence areas. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with full event details. Register today to secure your place and have your final say on our ED Business Plan.
