We team up with Scope to boost customer care

We have announced a new partnership with disability equality charity Scope, aimed at improving support for disabled customers across the Midlands, South West England, and South Wales.

The new collaboration reinforces our commitment to caring for customers and ensuring those who need it most receive expert advice and practical support.

Fiona Nicholls, Head of Vulnerability at National Grid Electricity Distribution, said: “I am extremely proud to launch our partnership with Scope, strengthening our support for customers who need it most.

“Scope’s teams will play a vital role in telling customers about the support they can receive through our Priority Services Register and providing energy advice, either through information materials available in local shops or directly over the phone.

“By working together, we can ensure disabled people are prepared for any potential power cuts and have access to expert advice and practical information to keep them warm and well.”

Amanda Mitchell, Executive Director of Fundraising, at disability equality charity Scope, said: “We’re delighted to welcome National Grid as our 14th member to the Scope Utilities Membership (SUM) programme.

“Through their partnership with SUM, we’re looking forward to supporting National Grid improve their service for disabled people and tackle the fuel poverty so many experience. We’ll also help them enhance their accessibility by sharing our best practices that support disabled people.”
